The Bee Positive Project:

A cycle ride across Europe on a quest to find original methods of beekeeping and wild honeybee colonies

Contrary to popular opinion, free living bee colonies do exist throughout Europe. However, knowledge of wild colonies and their behaviour is being lost. The Bee Positive project adds to the growing body of evidence that bees have themselves long been able to deal with the Varroa mite and diseases without outside intervention.

To be part of millions of years of successful honeybee evolution, is surely something that should engender respect and humility for the process we call nature which sustains us all.

Meeting wild honeybee colonies deeply reflects our very basic trust and invites us to discover our own soul.
